in sq. ABCD,
AC is a diagonal.
so, ar(∆ABC) = 1/2 AR(sq. ABCD) ...(I)
Also, BO is a median to ∆ABC
So, ar(∆ AOB) = 1/2ar(∆ ABC)
= 1/2[1/2{ar(sq. ABCD)}]
= 1/4 ar(sq. ABCD)
Or, ar(∆AOB):ar(sq. ABCD) = 1:4
