Area of sq =(2root 2)^2 cm

                  = 8cm^2

Join diagonals of sq

Now we know that diagonal of sq = root 2×side

= 4 cm

Now we get diagonal as diameter of circle

Diameter = 4cm

Radius= 2 cm

Area of circle = 3.14 × 2×2

                       = 12.56 cm^2

Area of shaded portion = Area of circle - Area of square

     = 12.56 - 8.00 = 4.56 cm^2
