first find the area of ΔAEF=1/2*b*h
=2*2*1/2
=2cm²
second find the area of square ABCD=s*s
=4*4
=16cm²
16-2
=14cm²
hence,the area of shaded part id 14cm².
=2*2*1/2
=2cm²
