Question

ABCD is a trapezium AB parallel to CD if ∠A = 30°, ∠B = 50° then find ∠C and ∠D

Answer

Given

ABCD is a trapezium.

AB║CD

∠A = 30°

∠B = 50°

To Find

∠C and ∠D

Proof

In ABCD.

AB║CD

\implies ∠A + ∠D = 180° [Co-interior Angles]

\implies 30° + ∠D = 180°

\implies ∠D = 180° - 30°

\implies  ∠D = 150°

Similarly,

\implies ∠B + ∠C = 180° [Co-interior Angles]

\implies 50 + ∠C = 180°

\implies ∠C = 180° - 50°

\implies  ∠C = 130°

Hence,

∠D = 150°

∠C = 130°
