Area of trapezium = 1/2 * (sum of parallel sides) * h

Area of trapezium ABCD = 1/2* (24+9) * 8

= 4*(33)

= 132cm²

Area of triangle = 1/2*b*h

Area of triangle ABG = 1/2*6*8

= 3*8

= 24cm²

Area of parallelogram CDEF = b*h

= 14 *6

= 84cm²

Total Unshaded area = Area of triangle ABG + Area of parallelogram CDEF

= 24cm²+84cm²

= 108cm²

Total Shaded Area = Area of Trapezium ABCD - Total unshaded area

= 132cm² - 108cm²

= 24cm²

Answer:

24cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of trapezium = 1/2 * (sum of parallel sides) * h

Area of trapezium ABCD = 1/2* (24+9) * 8

= 4*(33)

= 132cm²

Area of triangle = 1/2*b*h

Area of triangle ABG = 1/2*6*8

= 3*8

= 24cm²

Area of parallelogram CDEF = b*h

= 14 *6

= 84cm²

Total Unshaded area = Area of triangle ABG + Area of parallelogram CDEF

= 24cm²+84cm²

= 108cm²

Total Shaded Area = Area of Trapezium ABCD - Total unshaded area

= 132cm² - 108cm²

= 24cm²
