Area of shaded region = area of trapezium - area of ||gm + area of ∆

area \: of \: parallelogram = base \:  \times height \\  = 14 \times 6 \\  = 84 {cm}^{2}  \\  \\ area \: of \: triangle =   \frac{1}{2} \times base \times height \\  =  \frac{1}{2}   \times 6 \times 8 \\  = 24 {cm}^{2}  \\  \\ area \: of \: trapezium =  \frac{1}{2} (a + b)h \\  =  \frac{1}{2} (24 + 15)8 \\  = 39 \times 4 \\  = 156 {cm}^{2}

area \: of \: shaded \: region = \\  area \: of \: trapezium - area  \\ \: of \:  || gm \:  + area \: of \: triangle \\  = 156 - 84 + 24 \\   = 156 - 108 \\  = 48cm²
