Given : ABCD is a trapezium.   AD || BC  , AD = 23 cm  BC = 9

AB = 6.5   Height = 6 cm

To Find :  size of angle CDA

Solution:

Height = 6 cm => BM = 6 cm  M point on AD

Applying Pythagoras theorem

AM² = AB² - BM²

=> AM² = 6.5²- 6²

=> AM  = 2.5

CN ⊥ AD

AD = AM +  MN + ND

MN = BC = 9   & CN = BM = 6 ( height)

=> 23 = 2.5 + 9 + ND

=> ND = 11.5

Tan ∠CDN =  CN/ND

∠CDN =  ∠CDA

=> Tan ∠CDA =  6/11.5

=>∠CDA =  27.55
