since A=B=40
therefore its an isosceles trapezium
therefore the other two angles must also be equal
x+x+40+40=360
2x=280
x=140
as we know diagonal of a square=2^1/2 times of length
(from pythagoras theorem)
8=2^1/2 L
l=4*2^1/2
