Answer:

Given- ABCD is a trapezium with AB∥CD, ∠A=∠B=45

o

To find out- ∠D and ∠C=?

Solution-

∠A and ∠D are the adjacent angles of the trapezium within AB∥CD.

∴∠A+∠D=180

O

⇒45

O

+∠D=180

O

⇒∠D=135

O

Similarly ∠B and ∠C are the adjacent angles of the trapezium within AB∥CD.

∴∠B+∠C=180

O

⇒45

O

+∠C=180

O

∠C=135

∠ABC + ∠B=CD= 180∘

∵ (Sum of interior angles on the same side of the transversal is 180∘)

40∘+∠BCD = 180∘

∠BCD = 180∘ - 40∘ = 140∘

∠BCD = 140∘

So, both ∠BCD

and ∠ACD are 140∘
