PQ parellel DC that is AB parellel PQ

Construction: Join DB so that AND is a triangle and BDC is a triangle

Now, in ∆ABD and ∆BDC

AB parellel DC

Angle ABD=BDC(alternate interior angle)

Therefore AD=BC(sides opposite to equal angle are equal)

AD=BC

AD=BQ+ QC

AD=35+15=50cm
