ABCD is a trapezium of area 91 cm sq. CD is parallel to AB and CD is longer than AB by 8 cm. if the distance between AB and CD is 7 cm, find AB and CD?

let AB be x then CD be x+8
we know area of trap.is 1/2 ×dist. between para.side × sum of para. side

1/2×7×(8+2x)=91
1/2×7×2(4+x)=91
x=13-4
x=9

AB=9cm
CD=17cm
