ABCD is a trapezium with height 18 cm .a perpendicular from A to longer side CD meet at point F . Angle ACF =x, CF=7cm, AB=9cm . Find x and the area of trapezium.

= ¹/₂ × h × (AF + 2FE + EB)

= ¹/₂ × h × (AF + FE + EB + FE)

= ¹/₂ × h × (AB + FE)

= ¹/₂ × h × (AB + DC) square units.

= ¹/₂ × (sum of parallel sides) × (distance between them) .
