Given : ABCD is an isosceles trapezium

∠A = 60°

To Find : measurement of angle B

Solution:

Pair of parallel sides is not known hence there are two possible cases

Case 1:

AB || CD

then if ABCD is isosceles trapezium

Then ∠A = ∠B

=> ∠B = 60°

and ∠C = ∠D = 120°   ( as ∠A + ∠D = 180°  and ∠B + ∠C = 180°)

Case 2:

BC || AD

Then ∠A  + ∠ B = 180°

=> ∠B = 120°

and ∠B = ∠C   and ∠A = ∠D

∠B = 60°  if AB || CD

∠B = 120° if BC || AD
