Find EF:

EF = (25 - 13) ÷ 2 = 6 cm

FInd CD:

CD = EF = 6 cm

Find the height:

a² + b² = c²

a² + 6² = 10²

a² = 100 - 36

a² = 64

a = √64

a = 8 cm

Find the area of the trapezium:

Area = 1/2( a + b) h

Area = 1/2 ( 13 + 25) (8) = 152 cm²

Answer: The area is 152 cm²

Given:

Dimension = 13 * 25

Non parallel side = 10 cm

To find:

The area of trapezium

Solution:

To find the area,

Find the side EF,

EF = ( 25 - 13 ) / 2

EF = 6 cm

FInd the side CD,

As they are parallel,

CD = EF = 6 cm

Find the height,

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

a^2 + 6^2 = 10^2

a^2 = 100 - 36

a^2 = 64

a = √64

a = 8 cm

Area = 1/2 ( a + b ) height

Here,

a = 13

b = 25

Height = 8

Area = 1/2 ( 13 + 25) (8)

Area = 152 sq.cm

The area is 152 sq.cm
