2003omkaar: Acc to the question, ABCD rectangle with AB=8cm, BC=16 cm and AE=4 cm.

Area of ΔBCE = 1/2 x base x height = 1/2 x 16 x 8 = 64cm².

Area of ΔABE = 1/2 x base x height = 1/2 x 4 x 8 = 16cm²

Area of ΔCDE = 1/2 x base x height = 1/2 x (16-4) x 8 = 48cm²

Sum of area of ΔABE and ΔCDE = 16cm² + 48cm² = 64cm².

Therefore, yes the area of ΔBEC equal to the sum of the area of DBAE and DCDE.

area of triangle bce = 1/2× base × height

that is 1/2×16×8 = 64 square cm

and yes area of triangle BCE is equal to the sum of the area of another two given triangles.

Area of BAE + AREA OF CDE

=1/2×4×8 + 1/2×12×8

=16 + 48

=64 Proved
