we know that, measure of circle =360°

all sides of octagon are equal .

hence- central angle = 360°÷8 =45°

theta - 45° = (45×pi÷180) radian

hence Measure of angle central angle in radian is pi÷4 radian

now , we know that S=r× theta ( length of arc = radius × theta)

= 9( radius)×pi÷4

= (9pi÷4) radian
