PROOF,

IN ∆ABD AND ∆CDB,

AD = BC { opposite sides of rectangle }

DB = DB { common side }

AB = DC { opposite sides of a rectangle }

Therefore, BY SSS CONGRUENCY,

∆ ABD congruent to ∆CDB
