A.P.J Abdul kalam is known as “Missile Man of India”. He is famous as “Kalam Chacha” in students. He is also called as “People’s President”. His full name is Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen “A. P. J.” Abdul Kalam. He was born on 15 October 1931 in Rameswaram, Ramanathapuram District, Tamil Nadu, India. His father’s name is Jainulabudeen. His mother’s name is Ashiamma. In his childhood, he used to sell newspapers. Mathematics was his favorite subject.
After graduation is started working as a scientist at DRDO in 1958. He worked on various rockets projects, later he was transferred to ISRO where he worked on SLV-III. He excelled his career and land up as Scientific Adviser to the Defense Minister in 1992. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam became 11th President of India in 2002. He was awarded Padma Vibhushan in 1990 and finally Bharat Ratna in 1997.
