let distance covered be= D KM

average speed=20KM(GIVEN)

time=distance/speed

time=D/20hrs

In return journey

Let distance covered be = D KM

average speed=30KM(Given)

time taken= distance/speed

Time= D/30hrs

Total distance covered=D+D= 2D km

total time taken = D/20+D/30= 5D/60hrs

Average speed= total distance covered/total time

=2D/5D/60. transferring 60 above= 2D×60/5D

=24km/hr
