Abdul,while driving to school,computes the average speed for his trip to be 20km h^-1 .on his return trip along the same route .there is less traffic and the average speed is 30km h^-1 .what is the average speed for Abdul's trip ? Explanation: let distance =x

time =d/s

T1 =x/20

T2 = x/30

average speed = distance /time

= x+x/ x/20+x/30

= 2x/3x/60+2x/60

=2x × 60/ 5x

=24km/hr
