and the remaining amount at 20% for 4

Answer:

let amount invested at lower rate=y

simple interest=(y×25×2)÷100

=y/2

rest amount =4500-y

SI={(4500-y)×20×4}÷100

={18000-4y}÷5

ATQ

18000-4y}÷5+y/2=3000

3600+y/2-4y/5=3000

3600-3000=4y/5-y/2

600=(8y-5y)/10

6000=3y

y=Rs2000
