Answer:

Abhi take = 16 Days to complete work

Step-by-step explanation:

Abhi takes 40% more time than Aashu to complete the work.

Let say Ashu Take  =  D  days to complete work

=> Abhi  Takes = D = (40/100)D = 1.4D  Days to complete work

Ashu 1 day work = 1/D

Abhi 1 day Work = 1/1.4D

Ashu x days work = x/D

Abhi x + 4 Days work = (x + 4)/1.4D

x/D : (x + 4)/1.4D  :: 7:9

=> 1.4x/(x + 4) = 7/9

=> 12.6x = 7x + 28

=> 5.6x = 28

=> x = 5

x/D + (x + 4)/1.4D = 1

=> 1.4x  + x + 4  = 1.4D

=> 2.4x + 4 = 1.4D

=> 2.4*5 + 4 = 1.4D

=> 16 = 1.4D

Abhi take = 16 Days to complete work

Answer:

40%= 2/5

Abhi Ashu

7 : 5 (time ratio)

5 : 7 (efficiency ratio)

Total work = 7x+5(x+4)= 12x+20

7x/(5x+20)= 7/9

9x = 5x+20

4x = 20

X = 5

TW = 60+20= 80

Abhi's time = 80/5= 16 days
