Each of them got of a 3/4 glass.

There were 12 people

Hence total = 12 x (3/4)

= 3 * 3

= 9   Glasses

Bottles = 9 glasses

Now if 1 bottle =  1 glass then  9  bottles used

if 1 bottle =  2 glass then  4.5  means 5  bottles used

if 1 bottle =  3 glass then   3  bottles used

if 1 bottle =  4 glass then  2.25  means 3  bottles used

if 1 bottle = 5  glass then  1.8  means 2  bottles used

if 1 bottle = 9  glass then 1  bottles used
