● Explanation -

Suppose x and y be present age of Abhishek and Jagadish.

Abhishek is 6 years older than Jagadish.

x = y + 6 ...(1)

Also six years ago Abhishek was twice as old as Jagadish.

x - 6 = 2 (y-6)

x - 6 = 2y - 12

x = 2y - 6 ...(2)

From (1) & (2),

y + 6 = 2y - 6

2y - y = 6 + 6

y = 12 years

Now,

x = y + 6

x = 12 + 6

x = 18 years

Hence, age of Abhishek is 18 years and that of Jagdish is 12 years.
