Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

  • Abhishek sells a taperecorder to Rohan at a gain of 10%.
  • Rohan sells it to Sambhav on a 15% gain.
  • Sambhav pays Rs. 5060

To Find :-

  • how much did it cost Abhishek to buy the taperecorder.

Solution :-

selling cost 100 + 15 = 115

costs 100 when sp 115= (115×5060)÷100

At 10 % gain, sp, 100+10=110

Sp 110 when cp 100= (100×5819)÷110

=5290.

  • Hence Abhishek to buy the taperecorder is ₹ 5290

Step-by-step explanation:

at 15 % gain,

selling cost 100 + 15 = 115

costs 100 when sp 115

" 1 " " 115/100

" 5060 " " (115×5060)÷100

= 5819

at 10 % gain, sp, 100+10=110

Sp 110 when cp 100

" 1 " " 100/110

" 5819 " " (100×5819)÷110

=5290.
