The Peninsular Plateau is of immense use because: (i) It is store house of minerals like Iron ore, bauxite, gold, copper, coal, manganese, mica etc. (ii) Its Black Earth soils are very productive and are intensively given to cotton culture. (iii) The Ghats are immeasurable sources of wood, Timber etc.
