Answer:

Bacteria are a type of biological cell. They constitute a large domain of prokaryotic microorganisms. Typically a few micrometres in length, bacteria have a number of shapes, ranging from spheres to rods and spirals. Bacteria were among the first life forms to appear on Earth, and are present in most of its habitats.

The Kingdom Eubacteria consists of mostly heterotrophic bacteria that come in three main shapes. They are cocci (spherical), bacilli (rod shaped-as shown above), and spirilla (corkscrew shape). This kingdom is one of the two prokaryotic kingdoms. Bacteria in this kingdom have cell walls made without peptidoglycan.

Bacteria reproduce by binary fission. In this process the bacterium, which is a single cell, divides into two identical daughter cells. ... The bacterial cell then elongates and splits into two daughter cells each with identical DNA to the parent cell. Each daughter cell is a clone of the parent cell.

Answer:

There are many microorganisms which can't be seen by our naked eyes, and one of them is bacteria :-

Bacteria are single-cell organisms that are neither plants nor animals. They usually measure a few micrometers in length and exist together in communities of millions. A gram of soil typically contains about 40 million bacterial cells. A milliliter of fresh water usually holds about one million bacterial cells. The earth is estimated to hold at least 5 nonillion bacteria, and much of the earth’s biomass is thought to be made up of bacteria.

There are five types of bacteria based on their shapes, they are given below :-

  1. Spherical bacteria also called as coccus.
  2. Rod - shaped bacteria also called as bacilli.
  3. Spiral shaped bacteria also called spirilla.
  4. Comma shaped also called as vibrios
  5. Corkscrew also called spirochaetes.

Bacteria generally lives everywhere, like they are most abundant microorganisms. Bacteria can be found in soil, water, plants, animals, radioactive waste, deep in the earth’s crust, arctic ice and glaciers, and hot springs.

They reproduces through binary fission, or spores. Some bacteria produce endospores, or internal spores, while others produce exospores, which are released outside. These are known as cysts.

Bacteria are often thought of as bad, but many are helpful. We would not exist without them. The oxygen we breathe was probably created by the activity of bacteria.
