Bindheshwari Prasad Mandal was an Indian politician who chaired Mandal Commission which became a major political theme after 1990. He served as Chief Minister of Bihar, and also as parliamentarian who served as the chairman of the Second Backward Classes Commission. B.P. Mandal came from Kurmi Community.
He was born in year 1918 in Varanasi and died on 1982 in Patna
