The indiscriminate cutting down of trees is called deforestation.it cause many problems as if there will be no trees then there will be no oxygen.it can cause so many problems like - drought, flooding, climate change, desertification,ozone depletion, scarcity of forest products, wildlife extinction and many more.

A great variety of plants and animals exist on the earth.they are essential for the well being and survival of mankind.today, a major threat to survival of these organisms is deforestation.we know that deforestation means clearing of forests and using that land for other purposes.tress in the forest are cut for some purposes mentioned below:
- procuring land for cultivation
- building houses and factories  
- making furniture or using wood as fuel 
Some natural causes of deforestation of deforestation are mentioned below:
- forest fires
- severe droughts 
- there will be no rainfall 
- increase of carbon dioxide 
- decrease in oxygen
