equation :- An equation like x-2=7 contains a variable X. when you find what number the letter stands for or what makes left hand side equal to the right hand side, you solve the equation. the number that satisfy the equation is the solution. thoughts for the equation x- 2=7 , the solution is X = 9.

eg x - 2 = 7

=> X = 7 + 2

=> X = 9 ans

decimal:- measurements like this are not whole numbers 6.5 and 9.58 are decimal numbers.

decimal fraction is a fraction whose denominator is 10 or 100 or 1000 etc.

Example:-

$\frac{1}{10} \ \frac{3}{10} \: \frac{17}{10} \: \frac{1}{100} \: \frac{53}{100} \: \frac{1}{1000}$

are all decimal fraction. this is another a special way of writing such fraction .

the fraction 1 by 10 name is the number one - tenth . if we divide a square into 10 equal parts then each part of the square represent one tenth .

decide writing as 1 by 10, one tenth can also be written as 0.1

the number written in decimal form are called decimal number or simply this decimal.

Algebra :- like

a + b = 4 + 2
