Answer:

Both farmers and soldiers serve their country equally well and to the best of their ability, and in the process they make their own living.

Farmers produce the foods and other commodities to assure food and nutrition security to the people including soldiers. Without food nobody can survive! Period. In reality, however, farmers (especially smallholder farmers) are the most neglected groups both economically and socially. Still they continue to produce the food and feed the people. Therefore, whenever we have a meal at home or in a restaurant, we ourselves must be and educate our children to be grateful to farmers who produce the food and others who prepare and serve that food. A simple gratitude from people is the best reward for farmers who toil in the open sun, day and night to feed us, despite several difficulties they face in their own life.

Security for all

Soldiers provide us, including the farmers, the most needed security to carry out our various activities including farming. Without such a secure environment, nobody can function and sleep peacefully at nights. Soldiers sacrifice a lot and a number of them lose their lives while on duty to safeguard the country and its people. The only misery is that the soldiers are sacrificed at the battlefront for the whims and fancies of the political establishment. This will stop only when we eliminate wars from our lives! It is, however, a tall order!
