Global warming is caused due to green house gases... Because we human beings indirectly pollute the air through economical work, this in turn creates green house gases which increases the content of carbon dioxide, making our planet warmer... Even if we do not do so, the 4 nearest planets keep getting closer to the Sun during its revolution around it. It is said that in a few million years, these 4 closest planets will be scorched by the Sun.
