Historians have divided the past into three periods to make the
Study more convenient :
• Prehistory refers to the period for which there are no written
records.
• History refers to the period for which written records are
available.
Sources of History:-
Archaeological sources includes monuments, coins, artfacts,
inscriptions, etc.
• Literary sources include biographies, religious literature,
secular literature and also the account of foreign travellers
and travelogues.
