We can separate the mixture of sulphur and charcoal (carbon) by using carbon disulphide. Sulphur dissolves in it whereas charcoal doesn't. The mixture can then be separated by filtration where charcoal is left as residue on the filter paper and sulphur along with carbon disulphide is obtained as filtrate.
