The changes were made by Napoleonic code are as follows:

1. The civil code of 1804 usually known as Napoleonic code.

2. Did away with all privileges based on birth, established equality before the law and secured the right to property.

3. Napoleon simplified administrative divisions.

4. Abolished the feudal system and freed peasants from serfdom and memorial due.

5. In the towns too guild restriction were removed.

6. Transport and communication system were improved.

7. Peasants, aristant workers and new businessman enjoyed a new - found freedom.
