the pH scale measures how acidic or basic a substance is. it starts form 0 and ends with 14 the substance having pH value between 0 to 7 is known as acidic and the substance having pH value more than 7 is known as basic. the substance which have pH value equal to 7 is called neutral substance.

pH = - log [H +]

if pH < 7 then solution is acidic.

if pH < 7 then solution is basic.

if pH = 7. then solution is neutral.

lemon juice pH value 2.5 .

wine pH value 2.8.
