Formula Equation:H2S (g) + CuSO4 (aq) → CuS (s) + H2SO4 (aq)
Ionic Equation:H2S (g) + Cu2+ (aq) → CuS (s) + 2H+ (aq)

When gaseous H2S is passed through aqueous CuSO4, a black precipitate of Copper Sulphide (CuS) is formed with sulphuric acid solution.
