Answer:

The speed of light will be low in medium B.

speed of light in given medium= (speed of light in vacuum) / (refractive index )

so from the equation, we can say that as refractive index increases speed of light decreases in that medium decreases.

Answer:

Refractive index

refractive index of a medium is defined as the ratio of speed of light in vaccum to the speed if light in air

refractive index = C/V.

where c = speed of light in air

v = speed of light in vaccum

hence we can conclude that,

more the refractive index means decreasing the speed if light

so,

I medium B which has refractive index of 2.4

light will propagate with lower speed
