  • In medium Q the light will travel with slow speed.

\huge \fbox \green{Concept\:Applied}

  • Speed of light is slower is denser medium. The medium which has higher refractive index is optically denser.
  • According to this question, Medium Q has more refractive index than medium P hence, it is optically denser and the light will travel with a slow speed.

\huge \fbox \blue{Additional\: information}

  • The medium which has lower refractive index is optically rarer. The light ray travels with a faster speed in rarer medium.

  • Ray of light bends towards the normal while traveling from a rarer to denser medium

  • Ray of light bends away from the normal while traveling from a denser to rarer medium

Answer:

Explanation:

absolute refractive index means refractive index of any medium with respect to air / vaccum .

if refractive index of medium is 2.2 then ,

speed of light in vaccum / speed of light in medium= 2.2 ,we know the speed of light in vaccum is 3×10ki power 8 .

we get 3×10ki power 8 / speed of light in medium =2.2

=1.25 × 10 ki power 8
