u = 100 m/s
v = 0
s = 10 cm = 10/100 m = 1/10 m
a = ?

2as =  v^{2} -  u^{2}
2*a* \frac{1}{10}  0^{2} -  100^{2}
a = -10000 *  \frac{10}{2}
a = -50000

retadation = -(acceleration)
Therefore, retardation produced = -(-50000) = 50000 m/ s^{2}
