Although advertisements help us to become aware of the products in the market, they have their negative effects also. Children today are exposed to all types of advertisements on the various media like the television, print media and internet as well. In fact, everyone is bombarded by advertisements everywhere nowadays. Children in general are more susceptible and get easily influenced by advertisements.

Children are innocent and not so mature. When a marketer advertises a product on television, they do not understand that it is a business and their main aim is to sell. They do not understand that advertisers try to push their products and market in such a way that children want to buy it. Children take everything at face value and believe without a doubt the messages in the advertisements. Advertisements are made in such a way as to attract the attention of children. Children do not understand it to be marketing strategy. Children are an extremely vulnerable target audience and get easily carried away.

Excessive Use of Advertisements in Media.

- Sameer.

Nowadays, there have been a huge surge in the presence of advertisements both in the newspapers and even magazines and television. It almost seem like they occupy more time and space than the actual news.

Such acts not only waste the space of the paper, they also waste the time of the readers and viewers in diverting their attention to unnecessary advertisements. The need for a solution against these excessive advertisements is a must. If they can be minimized or even a bit reduced, then there can be a compromise for both the news producers and the advertisement agencies/ brands.

So, for the sake of the common people, a middle ground must be made as soon as possible. This will bring the happiness of everyone, the advertisement agencies will still have their advertisements, the news will still provide their news, and the common people will also like less advertisements and will not feel like they are wasting their efforts in reading or listening to the news.
