POLLUTION IN FLOWERS A PROCEDURE WHERE FLOWERS CALLS NATURE

During a botany class a student asked the teacher about relationship between nature and pollution of flowers.

The teacher gave following explanation.

● Pollination is one of the important process that occurs in sexual reproduction of a flower.

● If flowers are unisexual most of the flowers wait for pollination and this process occurs only through agents like wind or insects.

● Hence flowers with the nectar call insects and attract them with the sweets smell of the nectar and when the insects land on the flowers pollen grains get attached to body of insects and when they are transferred into other flower pollination occurs.
