Acar is moving alongx-axis. As shown in figure, it moves from Oto P in 18 seconds and return
from P to Q in 6 seconds. What are the average velocity and average speed of the car in going
from
a) O to P
b) From Oto P and back to Q

Answer: a) From O to P

Thus, in this case the average speed is equal to the magnitude average  of the velocity.

(b) From O to P and back to Q

In this case ,

welcome to you in kinematics ✌️✌️.              a) from O to P.

average \: velocity = displacement \div time \: interval

then average velocity= 360/18 = 20 m/s.    and

average \: speed = path \: length \div time \: iterval

then average speed= 360/18= 20m/s .      in this case , the average speed is equal to magnitude of the the average velocity .                                                       b) From O to P and  back to Q .

average \: velocity = displacement \div time \: interval

then, average velocity= 240/18+6= 10m/s . average speed= 360+120/24= 20 m/s. I hope  my answer help you✌️✌️
