when a body fall freely from a height towards ground ,the gravitational force of earth attract it towards it's center,it. makes equal displacement in equal time.....

thus,it produces acceleration..... which is called acceleration due to gravity

it's S.I.unit is Newton(N)

acceleration due to gravity=9.8N
