Given :

• Acceleration (a) = 2m/s²

• Initial Velocity (u) = 0 m/s

• Time taken (t) = 5 seconds

To Find :

• The distance travelled (s)

• The velocity acquired (v)

Solution :

Calculation of distance travelled :

Using 2nd equation of motion :

★ s = ut + ½ at²

→ s = (0)(5) + ½ (2)(5)²

→ s = 0 + 25

s = 25 m

\therefore Distance travelled in 5 seconds is 25 m.

Calculation of the velocity acquired :

Using 1st equation of motion :

★ v = u + at

→ v = 0 + (2)(5)

→ v = 0 + 10

v = 10 m/s

\therefore Velocity acquired is 10 m/s.
