because the gravitational field intensity changes with change in height from earth centre

Answer:
this is because of the curvature of the earth the distance between the centre of the earth from the surface varies from place to place like if we go to equator then the distance from the centre is more so according to g is equal to GM upon r square the value of g will be less, whereas on poles the distance from the centre of the Earth is less so the value of g will be more at poles.
