initial velocity (u) = 0 m/s

time (t) = 3 seconds

Acceleration (a) = 4m/s2

•: distance (S) = (ut + 1/2 at square )

= 0×3 + 1/2 × 4× 9

= 18 meter .

hence , distance covered in first 3 seconds is 18 m.
