Acceleration is a vector quantity...and nott a scalar, becoz it has both magniitude and direction..since,, the definition of acceleration is "the rate of change of velocity"or "change in velocity in a single unit of time"...it meeans velocity is always involvved, which iis already a vecttor quantity..
