Access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy is magna for modern development. It is not only important for India but for the world as a whole. India has been making a great progress in the modern energy segment recently.

According to a report by Financial Express the Government has brought many changes in the country’s renewable energy landscape.

Globally, India ranks fourth in wind, fifth in renewable power and sixth in the solar power installed capacity, respectively. Solar energy capacity has increased by over 8 times from 2.63 GW in 2014 to 22 GW and he  wind energy capacity increased by 1.6 times from 21 GW in 2014 to 34 GW, release added.

The Government has also been working to not only meet the targets but to exceed them.

A huge $42 billion investment was made in renewable energy in India in recent years. By seeing that amount we can judge on what scale the progress is being made in modern energy segment.

Also the trend in electric automobile segment has been seen recently. Leaders like Mahindra, Tata are coming into the game to replace the existing cars into electric one.

According to a report Seventy-five percent of carbon monoxide emissions come from automobiles. In urban areas, harmful automotive emissions are responsible for anywhere between 50 and 90 percent of air pollution. All told, that's quite a lot of air pollution coming from our vehicles.

Replacing these vehicles and our less dependency on them is not only important to India but to the whole world. To achieve this target Automobiles giants have been actively working on Research and Development of electric car segment. Recently, Pininfarina whose Parent company is none other than Mahindra & Mahindra revealed their latest addition to electric sports car 'Battista' which has the speed more than the F16 jet. This is a sign that we are going towards the right place. However, it is not only the job of Government or Industries to work towards, it's also the job of the citizens to decrease their depedency on traditional energy sources and look for alternatives

To conclude, India has been making a pretty good progress.

Thanks
