Accommodation of isotopic form of the same element was an upset in mendellev's periodic table.How could the modern periodic table remove the anomaly?

Answer:

In modern periodic table the elements are arranged on the basis of their atomic no. and not their mass number.

And we know that isotopes are the same elements with same atomic no. (number of electrons/protons) but have different mass no, i.e. their neutron are different.

Therefore when they are arranged in according to their atomic number the isotopes get a similar position where the atom if the element is placed.

And hence it was sorted out.
